Are you confounded by the ever-increasing volumes of words, phrases, and acronyms used when discussing the World Wide Web and computer technology? Many resources are available to help you wade through the thicket of new and not-so-new terms with relative ease.

Netlingo is an exhaustive glossary containing not only terms relating to the Internet but much if not most of the shorthand used in e-mail and especially IMs (instant messages) and chatrooms. In addition, you’ll find the meanings of many phrases which are not specifically from the net but which are used frequently in the business world and beyond. (Many of you know how long a “New York minute” is, but do you have any idea what an “angry garden salad” could be, or what it means to encounter a “lasagne syndrome”?)
